No, the experience isn’t expected to cause any pain and a numbing agent can be used to prevent any discomfort.
In many cases, results are immediate, then gradually develop over the following days. We always favour a natural result and give you the option to build on your treatment in future sessions, if desired. Results longevity varies between patients, but most dermal fillers last between 12-18 months.
With dermal fillers, you can expect minimal-to-zero downtime. However, injectable treatments may cause swelling, bruising, tenderness and redness around the treated site(s). This usually fades in a matter of days and can be calmed with an ice pack or over-the-counter pain relief, if required.
We always provide our patients with detailed aftercare advice, which helps ensure the best possible results and overall experience. Some things to avoid immediately after dermal fillers include heat treatments (such as the spa), intensive exercise and alcohol.
During your consultation, we’ll recommend treatments to you based on the results you’d like to see. If you’re looking to treat fine lines and wrinkles, an alternative option could be chemical peels.
