A way to safely and non-surgically rejuvenate the skin, Dermapen treatment targets lines and wrinkles, sun damage, pigmentation, and acne scars & stretch marks, resulting in smoother, brighter skin.
Dermapen treatment is a type of microneedling, where tiny needles are gently stamped onto the skin to prompt healing and regeneration, boosting production of skin-tightening collagen.
The treatment creates healthier and younger-looking skin without surgery, with little-to-no downtime and no aggressive treatment needed. It’s a natural way to rejuvenate as the skin repairs and regenerates, and can be used on any skin type. It’s also possible to have treatment on other areas of the body, such as the hands, abdomen, thighs and neck.
Our treatments are led by Jackie Holden, a Registered General Nurse and Independent Nurse Prescriber with over 15 years’ experience in aesthetic nursing. Dermapen treatment can only be carried out by authorised clinics and trained practitioners, for your peace of mind. An anaesthetic is applied to the skin to numb it ahead of treatment and keep pain and discomfort to a minimum. Then, the device is stamped onto skin to encourage regeneration.
Results usually last 1-2 months, so Jackie recommends a maintenance programme to prolong them. At least 3 sessions, 6 weeks apart, are recommended.
You may experience slight scabbing, redness and swelling of the skin, and bruising is also common. These side-effects are often short-lived, with more serious ones extremely rare.
Your skin may be more sensitive after treatment, and Jackie recommends using daily sun protection to care for skin. While typical make-up isn’t recommended for around 12 hours post-treatment, we do stock specialist mineral make-up, if needed.
